Miami offered a delightful and vibrant experience. We embarked on a journey filled with sun, sandy beaches, and flavorful cuisine, making it the perfect way to embrace the coastal vibes.

Miami is renowned for its lively atmosphere. We had the opportunity to indulge in some fantastic beach days. We soaked up the sun and enjoyed the diverse cultural scene, learning about the city's vibrant energy along the way. Miami's natural beauty, with its pristine beaches and palm-lined streets, provided a stunning backdrop for our trip, making it a visual treat. The laid-back beach vibes allow you to unwind and relax fully. The diverse neighborhoods, friendly locals, and welcoming atmosphere created a chill and inviting environment throughout our journey.

The cuisine in Miami was outstanding. We enjoyed delicious meals at trendy waterfront restaurants, savoring diverse cuisines paired perfectly with tropical vibes. From street food to upscale dining, the food scene stood out as a memorable aspect of our journey.

Flight &
Transportation

C0019T01.JPG

We flew into FLL from Columbus, Ohio

We rented a car for our duration of the trip. If you are staying in south beach, you can get away with not renting a car and just Uber-ing around. Miami Beach (north & south beach) also has a free trolley if you want to get your steps in. Check their site for their stops and times.

We booked the rental car with enterprise, the lines weren't that bad but they were turning people away because they didn't have any cars that weren't already reserved. I would suggest making reservation ahead of time!

Accomodations

Arlo Wynwood

We stayed at the Arlo Wynwood, on NW Miami Court.

The Arlo Wynwood, was new, modern, and very quaint. South Beach hotels are expensive and some of them are catfish. The pictures look better than what they provide, so be careful. Unless, it is one of the big hotels (1Hotel, Fontaine Bleu, W south beach etc.) read reviews and try to find real images and videos online.

A lot of people enjoy staying on the other side of the bridge, Brickell, Downtown etc.

While the Arlo Wynwood is new, modern and clean, the rooms are tiny. It is basically a room with a bed with a bathroom. There isn't a lot of room to move around, but they do provide areas for your luggage. BEWARE, they don't advertise this/it is buried in the fine print, there is a resort fee of $35 a day. I was worn out and hungry when we checked in, and while $35 a day isn't that much, I was annoyed that we were finding out at the check-in counter.😂

Food &
Activities

Day One:

After a long day of traveling, we got dinner at 8:00P.M. at Puerto Sagua on Collins Ave. It is a down to neighborhood Cuban restaurant. The staff was so nice, the food was 1000/10. You can't go to Miami without eating some good Cuban food, this is a great choice.

Day Two:

Morning

This was our first full day in Miami. We spent the morning exploring Wynwood walls of graffiti, Wynwood jungle, window shopped and explored the design district and checked out Julia and Henry's

Afternoon

We spent the afternoon at Nikki Beach. The drinks were strong, the food was amazing and the vibes we on point. I got the calamari sautéed instead of breaded and fried and I am still thinking about them. We wanted to get a daybed and just spend the rent of the day there but the weather was not on our side.

Dinner

We went to dinner at Mercato Della Pescheria. The food was alright but the staff was so nice and they brought out a birthday surprise. So sweet!

After Hours

We went Booby Trap On The River. It is an adult entertainment club. We went there at midnight and it expensive and dead😂

Day Three:

Morning

We went to a vintage car show that was held at the Deering Estates. The Deering Estate is a historic venue and museum that can be visited during business hours. There is an entry fee and they close for events such as the car show so check their websites for the day you want to visit.

Afternoon

We had bunch at Greenstreet Cafe. The food was good and plentiful but it was too sweet. It would literally put you in a diabetic coma, and this is coming from someone with a very sweet tooth.

Evening

We did a night time boat tour of Star Island. We thought we were booking an evening ride on the water but it turned out to be a tour on a fishing boat. We should have known better with the price and how inexpensive it was.😂 But for something that we weren't expecting we enjoyed. The tour guide pointed out different houses and the people that owned it.

Dinner

We had Dinner at the Versace Mansion. The mansion is a staple to Miami and a must visit. The atmosphere, architecture, and decor create and environment for very nice images. The food, while expensive, is worth it because it is culinary's finest. Absolutely delicious.
